In 1812, Fort McHenry mounted a significant defense against British troops to protect the freedom and liberty of the United States of America. Meanwhile, a smaller land Battle was occurring on the East Side of Baltimore, not far from the location of Costas Inn Restaurant. The Battle of Northpoint helped propel America’s conquest in the War of 1812. The country remained free and, as such, destined to become the land of opportunity. Costas N. Triantafilos and Tsambika Kefalas, Greek citizens, arrived to the United States and, in so doing, joining a cast of millions that immigrated to the this country to realize the "American Dream." Costas married Tsambika Kefalas and a union was formed that remains the guiding force behind Costas Inn.

Harris Crab House
Restaurants Crabs in 433 N. Kent MD

In 1991, we opened the new Crab House with an open air, upstairs deck right beside the old packing house and overlooking the picturesque Kent Narrows. We give you what many people claim is the best view of the water, filled with the boating activity and wildlife we're famous for in the Chesapeake Bay region. This spectacular view alone, however, cannot sustain a restaurant. Every day, we earn our reputation as a top rated restaurant, known for excellent food, thirst quenching cocktails and exceptional service!

Enjoy Fine Dining on our
Casual Bar and Outdoor Dining
Situated on Westminster Pike - one mile west of Reisterstown on US Route 140, this structure was built in 1722 and opened as an Inn. The original building is of log construction with the clapboard exterior added over 100 years ago. The name of the Inn has long been forgotten.
North Star Tavern was the third stop for the wagon trains then operating between Baltimoretowne and Fort Pitt (Pittsburgh). Notables from many countries were lodged here as well as leaders of the Revolutionary and Civil Wars. The late Cardinal Gibbons spent his vacations here and it was he who blessed this house.
At the North Star Tavern, the hospitality of those days of long ago will again be extended to all who stop here to dine with us.
We sincerely hope you enjoy your visit.
